Liam stormed out of the house, the usual smile of pure happiness plastered on his face as he practically ran to his jeep. It would have been odd for him to act so excited over anything less than what just happened. He had actually made a friend. A popular friend. She was just being nice. He fumbled excitedly as he unlocked his car, quickly climbing in and pulling out onto the quiet suburban neighborhood. It wasn't all that hard for him to make friends, as long as they weren't put off by his appearance, or his innocent ways. He was just naturally an extremely sweet kid.
It didn't take long for him to speed off to Starbucks and pull up. He had tossed on some fairly normal clothes, as he didn't want to walk in and have Ophelia gawk at him in pure discust. The dark blue jeans he wore were slung low over his slender hips, while he wore a black Coldplay t-shirt. The weather was nice enough that he didn't have a need to wear any sort of jacket. Of course, he wore his favorite pair of sneakers, even if they were tattered. I'll be needing a new favorite soon.
Letting the thought drift off, he climbed out of his jeep, pocketing the small set of keys. Already, he could smell the sweet aroma of the coffee and other drinks brewing inside. With a smile, the tall boy moved to the door, opening it up. A happy sigh left his lips as the smell became even stronger. I could live here... A low giggle escaped from his throat at the thought, moving his body to one of the corner tablesa. Upon sitting down, he simply waited, playing with a strand of his teased out hair.

signing off the divinity chat thingamajig that ophelia had recently discovered (which was sort of pathetic since she was a senior) she swivled in her desk chair, throwing on some better clothing. she'd been craving starbucks for about two hours now, and she didn't have anything else to do. however, she didn't like going places alone because she felt wannabee-ish, but she still decided to go with the kid she met on the internet. sure they went to the same school, but ophelia wasn't really friends with anyone in the school. she was friends with the people back home in lansing and her obnoxious cousin. but other than that, ophelia was just who she was--quiet and to herself. except when it came to the losers who ogled the elite. sighing, she put on some decent clothes and left her dorm, ignoring the obnoxious girls who were her roommates.
she got into her car, revving the engine and pulling off of the grounds of the school. she nodded to the security guards at the front gates, making her way easily downtown and to her favourite coffee place. she pulled into starbucks and backed into a parking spot, locking her car and grabbing her purse. her outfit may have matched a little too much, but she liked it that way. she walked into the store, seeing some of the other elite chicks and guys her cousin hung out with there with their own dates or friends, and ordered herself a coffee, tapping her nails impatiently. she spotten liam (with hair like his--who couldn't?) and walked over to his table, iced coffee in hand. "how ya doing?" she asked, sitting down and putt her purse on the ground.

As he waited, Liam couldn't help but notice the other people that were in the coffee shop. Most of them appeared to be the type to hang out with the elites, and he could surely pinpoint a few of them that he had seen around. Of course, they never had spoken to him, but why would they? It was obvious that they mainly stuck to their own little tight nit group of the popular kids, and Liam simply wasn't popular. He was the kid that sat in class all quiet, until he knew a question, which is when his hand would instantly shoot up. It tended to bring unwanted attention toward himself, though it was much better than being called names as he usually was.
His eyes lit up as he saw a girl walking toward his table. That's her! Well, it had to be, as he couldn't think of why anybody else would just randomly come over to his table. As she sat down and spoke, Liam beamed brightly before his lips parted to speak, folding his hands across each other on the small table in front of him. "I'm vunderful! And you? I hope you are vell?" His accent was heavy, though he tried his best to perfect his english. I hope she doesn't laugh at me... He wouldn't let the rather mean thoughts ruin his time, as he was more than excited to possibly have a new friend, especially one that was popular. He made a mental note to try his best to not mess this up, as he was always a bit of a perfectionist.
Stephen won't believe this!

ophelia sat down on the stool, almost falling. she had always been unstable when it came to sitting or walking or standing. she always tripped over things...although she tried not to, she was always tripping. normally she caught herself because she tried to be graceful, but she wasn't always good at it. she looked at liam when he spoke, and blinked in shock once hearing his accent. he'd written in perfect english in the chat, but he had an accent. not one to be mean to someone she just met, she overlooked it. she was normally quick to judge--why was she being this nice? she shrugged the thought away, and responded to his question, "yeah i'm fine," and then smiled for a second or two. it wasn't a fake smile, she was just not used to smiling.
she sipped her coffee, looking around at her surroundings. "so what did i pry you away from?
[/color]" she asked, hoping he understood her question of what he'd been doing before their meeting..but ophelia was good at the whole american slang thing. maybe she should lighten that up? she didn't know, but instead took another sip and studied his face. Liam gave a hard swallow as Ophelia clearly seemed a bit surprised by his accent. No matter how hard he tried to keep it hidden, the sounds were just too much of a struggle for him. Writing came much more natural to him than the speaking did. He didn't hesitate to give a soft, friendly smile as she said she was alright, finding his mood suddenly lifting a bit more with each moment.
At her question, Liam's brow furrowed in a slightly confused manner, as his mind began to sort out the meaning of the English phrase. It took a few moments of pure silence before his lips parted to speak, finally making sense of the words. "Oh...Nuttink at all. I'm never busy." He said quickly in a reply, wrinkling his nose slightly at how it sounded to him. I'm a loserrrrrrr! That's exactly what the words meant in his mind as his long, thin fingers played absentmindedly with the numerous bands that he had strapped around his small wrists. "You veren't doink anytink very excitink, vere you?" He questioned in return, knowing that there was no way she would have taken the time out of something fun to have a drink with a total stranger.
At the thought of a drink, Liam perked up, realizing that he had completely forgotten to get himself one. His golden eyes shifted from Ophelia over to the counter, glancing up at the list of all the drinks. So many to pick from... Even though it was simply a drink, he would probably make it some hard decision.
