age & birthday: September 17th;; 16

occupation: student
what kind of money you making?: middle class

appearance: Nikki is pretty much average. Her height is about five foot six, and her weight is somewhere around 110 - she doesn't worry that much about it. She's been called pretty, but she's not one of those girls who catches your eye instantly. Nikki has brown hair which she keeps fairly long, and doesn't usually put that much effort into. A ponytail is just fine any day. Her eyes are probably her most remarkable feature, as they are a gorgeous green - especially in the sunlight.

personality:
- HUMOR - Nikki is fun and hilarious, once she lets you in. She doesn't mine making a fool of herself in order to make a friend's day a brighter. She absolutely loves to to laugh and smile, so humor really is the way to her heart. She loves to tease her friends, and her sense of humor sometimes leans towarads sarcastic.
- LOYALTY - Nikki is fiercely loyal. It takes a while to truly get to know her, but if someone makes the effort and gets through, they've made a friend for life...unless they do something to prove they don't deserve her friendship. Even if a friend isn't present, Nikki will stand up for them. To her adopted family, she is also exceedingly loyal.
- LOVE - Nikki loves her family with all her heart, and she loves her friends - at least her close ones - as though they were part of her family. But she is terrified of falling in love with a boy. She knows her real mother's history, and it has taught her to be wary when it comes to boys. She doesn't mind being friends with them, but becomes distrustful when things start going any further.
- STRENGTH - Nikki isn't really an athlete - she's too klutzy for it. The time she gets a break from being a complete and total klutz is when she's running. For some reason, she manages to avoid tripping when moving at a faster pace.
- INTELLIGENCE - Nikki is very smart. Math and English are her strongest points. She loves to curl up with a good book, and she also loves to write. She's been working on a novel for a couple years, and is thinking about maybe trying to get it published some day. At the very least, she intends on writing a new book once she's seen more of the world, and getting it published. She usually gets straight As, maybe an A- here or there.
- TRUST - Nikki is not a very trusting person. This probably comes from her past, but where it comes from, makes no difference. It takes her a long time to really trust someone, and that trust can be shattered in a matter of seconds. Then it takes some time to earn it back once more.
- FAITH - Nikki is a Christian. She believes in and loves God with all her heart. This is thanks to her family, the Hartwells, who, after adopting, at first had to force her to go to church.
- IMAGINE - Nikki has a vivid imagination. This is both a good thing, and a bad thing. It helps when it comes to writing, but in matters such as crushes, not so much. At times though, it is certainly comforting when things don't seem to be going right, she can curl up with a good book, and her imagination paints a whole new world for her to escape to.
- HOPE - Nikki is always had a strong sense of hope. Even in the hardest times, she can see the silver lining. It could be something a simple as a huge paper that got assigned, she she'll mention how there aren't any other assignments at least. Or it could be something as bad as a death, and she'll point out that that person is out of misery now.
- HEALTH - Nikki is strongly against drugs, alcohol, even sex before marriage, due to the health effects it can cause. To her, it's just a no-brainer. Why would you do something like that your body? She runs to keep in shape, and she does her best to eat healthy, even though vegetables aren't her favorite.
- KLUTZ - Nikki has always been quite the klutz. If there's something for her to trip on, she's bound to trip on it. She's forever embarrassing herself by tripping, knocking things over, dropping things, etc. The only time she manages not to be a klutz is when she's running.

history:
- ORIGINALS - Nikki was born Nikki Stewart on September 17th. She lived her biological mother and father until the age of five. Her parents were unmarried, but for a while they talked about putting on the rings. Things started deteriorating though, and this would never come to be. At age five, Nikki became fatherless. Dave just up and left one day, and didn't even bother to say good-bye. Nikki was heartbroken.
- ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - For two more years, Nikki lived with her biological mother. She went to school, came home, and had a fairly normal life. But Alissa was young, and didn't like being tied down by a child. One day she took Nikki for a walk and they went to the orphanage. Alissa promised she'd be back within 24 hours. She didn't come, and she didn't come. Eventually, Nikki quit hoping.
- THE CURRENTS - When Nikki had been in the orphanage six months, the Hartwells came. They were looking for a little boy to adopt, but all that changed when they saw Nikki, and heard her story. They took her in, and they've been like her real family ever since. She continued elementary school, only in Washington D.C. now. Cody was born shortly after, and he's never been able to fathom that Nikki is adopted.
- MIDDLE SCHOOL - Nikki started middle school with glasses, braces, and that awkwardness of a girl who's not sure of herself. It was here that she started to find her talents, hobbies, interests, and really, herself. The Hartwells found her father and mother, but Nikki refused to visit them. While she didn't truly hold any harsh grudges, she felt no connection to them, nothing to spark a desire to talk to them, or see them. The Hartwells were her family. Nikki graduated with excitement. Now she could go to Divinity, like Anthony.
- HIGH SCHOOL - As the family tradition went, once Nikki was a freshman, she was sent to Divinity. She made friends, enemies, and pretty much avoided boys. She didn't trust them - a symptom of the lingering memory of Dave. This year she's taking challenging classes, but also pursuing her passion for writing. She doesn't know what the future holds, but she has high hopes for it.
IS THAT ALL WE NEED TO KNOW?

impress me, baby:Lacey's brown-eyed gaze stayed evenly on Erik, smile playing with her lips. She looked him up and down of a half second, expression becoming perplexed and perhaps a little disapproving. When she spoke, her expression once again became a small smile. "Most definitely," she agreed, tone thick with sarcasm. She reached down to pull her bag onto her shoulder. She adjusted it to make it comfortable, before looking back to Erik. It kind of annoyed her how she had to work to keep her gaze off him. "You don't look dressed for studying," she pointed out, raising an eyebrow to emphasize that her comment was also a question. She was absently fiddling with a strand of hair, twirling it around a finger, untwirling it, retwirling it. Lacey's gaze wandered, landing on the clock. "Holy crap!" she gasped, getting an annoyed look from the librarian. "That a stupid paper," she muttered mutinously.
The junior turned on a heel and headed for the door. She stopped, looked back over her shoulder, remembering Erik. "You're not staying here are you?" she asked. The teasing quality to the question just barely shone through, until she flashed a smile. Lacey started walking again, opening the door and stepping. Man it was cold. She crossed her arms tightly, wishing she'd thought of a coat. Oh well. She hadn't, so she'd deal with it. Still, she was loath to step out further into the bitterly cold night. She forced herself to loosen her arms into a more casual pose, and she looked over at Erik, hearing the door open. Her eyes looked darker in the dim lighting, and her off-white seemed to glow just faintly. Her face was now turned a pink in color not from a blush, but from the cool breeze that stirred the air now and again and played with her hair.
