Lacey was sitting on the second from top step, the rest of her circle a step, or two, or three lower. It wasn't the full elite clique, it was just her couple closest friends. They'd been watching guys, enjoying the sun, and gossiping. The latest issue of Madame Sweet Tooth had come out, and so there were things to talk about. What was true, what wasn't, etc. Lace smiled slightly to herself. She'd been in it...what, three times? Normal. And nothing overly incriminating yet - it hadn't even mentioned the idea of her actually cheating on her boyfriend. Just the fact that it seemed Erik was falling for, the fight at the bar that Erik and Dakota had managed to get themselves into, and herself and Heather being in the same dorm. She waved slightly to her two friends, half smiling, when they said they had to go. She didn't mind being on her own - she was pretty good at being independent. It just helped to have followers sometimes.
The junior, hershey's bliss was dressed in typical fashion. She often modeled for her mother, and she got to keep some of those clothes...so her style was unique, and always classy. Her shirt was white with short, sheer sleeves. It had a collar at the neck, but it didn't button. It was loose, but at the same hugged her figure. It was the under part that really showed off her slender frame. Her skirt was short and black, crinkled looking in style. Underneath the collar of the shirt, around her neck was a black, sheer scarf that ended up tied in a loose, almost boxy bow. Around her left hand wrist was a dainty, silver watch. Her earrings were long, elegant, and silver, with small diamonds at the ends. For once, Lace wasn't wearing any tights, but her shoes were black, shinny, peep-toed pump heels. Her brown locks were up in a perfect messy bun, and white headband was settled in her hair was well. Light make-up enhanced her naturally pretty features.
Lacey sighed with a content smile on her face, putting her hands behind her and leaning back, feeling the sun her face. There were no clouds in the sky, and it was a pleasant seventy-five or so degrees out. There was no breeze to stir the air. Her thoughts wandered to Erik. She idly wondered when her current boyfriend would figure out she didn't care anymore, and was potentially being pursued again. She smiled at the thought. Madame Sweet Tooth would enjoy whatever drama was going to come from this. Lacey had to admit, she wouldn't mind giving Erik a go and seeing how things turned out. And Heather. She grimaced. There was a piece of work. But if she could just get Heather to work with her, she knew there was a pretty girl under there somewhere. Not that she cared. She was more into ignoring the blond sophomore. After all, she herself was pretty much top girl of the school, so why should Heather of all people matter to her. Lacey was disturbed from her thoughts at the sound of her name, and she opened her eyes, ready to be annoyed, but pleasantly, she got to smile instead.

Chrystina looked subtly at a passing junior, her two followers giggling rediculously. She scanned the boy with just her eyes before hissing at her friends to shut up. They were both sophomores too, but clearly they were not as experienced as she was in the boy department. Most of her boyfriends had been fellow models though or actors, she got around. Taking a sip of her tea, her glossy pink lips parted slightly in a cool and calm smile when the junior turned to look at her. It was at that moment that he ran into an open locker. Chrystina put a hand to her mouth, her eyes widening slightly before she hurried her friends off toward the exit of the school. She lead them, they followed. It was how it always went. She was the most popular teen in the sophomore and freshman classes, her cousin topped her in the school, but that was all. She was fine with it, she and Lacey got along very well so it was purely family power.
Chrys trotted softly down the stairs in her shining red Louis Vuitton pumps that were a couple of inches high. They were easy to walk in for her, she'd been in rediculous shoes before on the runway too so she was used to altering her walk. The teen tossed her perfectly, softly curling hair over one shoulder, the thin white headband with a bow holding the front part out of her face. She smiled vulpinely when they reached the walk. Her friends bade a good bye and hurried off, she was glad to be free of them. Sometimes they were just annoying. She was wearing a dark gray pencil skirt that went to her knees where there was a small slit in the back to allow for easier walking. Her top was a simple white button up blouse that went under her skirt at the bottom, sliming her already thin figure as well as giving her perfect curves. It was short sleeved so she work a cropped red jacket over the top. She looked perfectly stylish in the designer clothes that she'd received for free, she loved showing off. She wore silver hoops while simple make up popped her features out and made them the most noticable thing about her, her eyes daring you to do something.
Chrys trotted softly down another small flight of stairs before she turned and spotted a familiar person sitting on the steps, alone. Chrystina adjusted her white Gucci bag and walked toward her cousin, slipping her cell phone away. "Lacey." She greeted softly, smiling as she joined her cousin on the step, keeping her legs crossed at her ankles and on the next step. "Your here late, aren't you headed off somewhere. Perhaps to solve that problem pest in your room." She smiled, bumping softly into her cousin, noting that people were scattered all over the place still. She glanced sideways at a buy calling her name, she rolled her green-blue eyes, looking back to her cousin, her hand cupped around her to go cup filled with health tea.

Lacey eyed her cousin with a soft smile on her lips, watching her sit at the same level as her. Any other girl who tried that, Lacey would've pushed down a step. But Chrys was family. What was Lacey's was bound to be hers someday. "Hm. Am I?" she asked with a distracted air. She looked at her watch and shrugged. "I guess," she mused. "But I'm avoiding my boyfriend, so I can't exactly go to my normal hangouts." Lace thought through the possible social engagements for the night. Not many of interest. "Well, there's a party or two that I could go to, and there's the clubs, and I could always find Erik..." she trailed off with a sly smile, then sighed. "Life is just so dull at the beginning of the year."
The junior laughed when Chrys bumped her gently. "I'm hoping that pest just ignored me as much as I ignore her. Then I won't have to ruin her. Or make her one of us. It would be one or the other." She looked out over the grounds. If someone got too close to Lacey, they had to become an elite if they wanted to stay that way. And if they refused that, well, they didn't usually fall back to the bottom of the social ladder very gently. "You read the Madame Sweet Tooth article then? Or did I mention my roommate." She skirted saying Heather's name. It didn't matter. Lace looked over at the boy that had gotten her attention for a fleeting second, then to her cousin. "When are we gonna get you a boy that lives closer to home?" she asked, teasingly gently.

Chrys made a quick face that would've looked awful on anyone else, but she pulled it off flawlessly. "I can understand the avoiding thing." She stated cooly with a roll of her eyes, she'd never been one to enjoy boyfriends much. It was like you weren't you anymore, you were a part of a them and everyone expected you to always be them and never be just you. She hated the whole commitment thing. "Hmm." Chrys mused to herself, she didn't know what she was doing tonight, nothing that would take her away from school though. She could've gone to a small Elle Magazine party, but that would take a plane flight to get to the social event and she didn't feel like sitting on a plane for a couple of hours. "Erik? Erik Van Deveroux?" She quirked a perfectly arched brow at her cousin with a soft smile pulling at one corner of her mouth. She dropped it quickly, never one to intrude on a person she actually liked.
Chrystina appropriatly rolled her eyes, manicured nails tapping on her cup. Of course it would happen that Lacey would get stuck with the tomboy and Chrys would end up in the co-ed dorm. It had to happen somehow. "You think she had any potential to be one of us?" Curiousity just barely sparked her voice while her eyes subtly scanned over the crowds. Turning her head to her older cousin, she tilted it. "The article, of course. Tood bad I missed the first while of school." She stated airily, she'd been off on a modeling job and some other random things so she hadn't been in the paper at all. It didn't bother her much, at least there wasn't anything bad about her. Not that anyone could get away with that. Chrys scoffed, "You know that I don't like boyfriends. I much prefer dates and escorts. Like coffee cups, you use them and then throw them away." she was calm, indignant about her statement before taking a sip of her tea, letting it sit in her mouth thoughtfully, and swallowing it.

Lacey laughed and leaned her head back, closing her eyes against the sun once more. Her posture could have looked ridiculous, but of course she of all people could pull it off. "He's just so dull," she complained. She was surprised that Madame Sweet Tooth hadn't picked up on the fact that Lacey was trying to pull herself out of the relationship...just not in traditional, blunt fashion. Her smile broadened, turning into one that her friends new well. It was the typical Lacey, always after something. Devious, cunning, and ever-charming. "Yes; Erik Van Deveroux." She opened her eyes to see Chrys's expression, then closed them again. "And go ahead and ask for all the details. The silence is troubling," she added, teasing, with a soft laugh.
She tilted her head back forward an inch or so, brown-eyed gaze focused ahead of her. "She might. If she ever let herself be a girl," Lace replied, expression hard to read. "She'd need some serious training." A smile tugged at her lips. Training. Most commonly known as running errands for the top girls, and, well, perhaps it came close to hazing now and again. "Oh, it's been dull. You haven't missed anything. Even the article showed that. Most secrets haven't been secrets long enough to be discovered." Lacey took it with her trade that she'd be in those articles. She was the school's most prominent girl - she got noticed. Her secrets discovered. And she didn't care. The school would find out anyway, the way things usually turned out. The elites weren't always the most loyal to each other. "I agree. For the most part. But a boyfriend offers you status." Her gaze flickered to her cousin, then away. To be queen, it helped to have a king.

Chrystina pursed her lips, she would've been done with the boy by now, but Lacey had her own set of rules that clearly worked for her. "Ugh. Dull." She made another quick face, she hated boring with a searing passion. She always had to be doing something new, new boy, new clothes, new job. She liked change. Chrys shook her head slightly, "Tell me. Entrigue me. Enchant me with all of these details." She mock-pleaded in a teasing tone, though she was utterly curious. Erik was rather up on the social ladder too, perhaps it would be good for Lacey. Besides, she was practically a sister to Chrystina and she could tell when Lacey got bored of a boyfriend. It was clearly time for a change up.
"Oh really. She's that bad? Ugh, what, sweats and all?" There was a part of the sophomore that pulled her into the whole gossip factor of this. If this roommate of Lace's didn't cooperate, well, she couldn't wait to watch her fall down the staircase. "Mmm, like your secrets?" Chrys lightly teased her cousin, gaze focused away as well in a calm manner, her eyes lightly looking at the people below them. She recognized all, but the new freshman. Of course, she was always looking for the next person to 'bring into power' so to speak. She groaned mentally, it was a dry batch of freshman. "But they're so boring. I can't concentrate on anything when I'm tied to anyone outside of the family." She thought for sure that Lacey would understand that. Eventually, of course, she would pluck herself a boyfriend, rip and handsome. Then it would even further boost her image, not that any boost was needed.

Lacey's lips pulled into a smirk. "Ugh would be a good way to put it," she agreed coolly. She was much like her cousin in her view on boredom. For her, the moment a relationship got dull, that was the moment that it went out the window. The junior lost interest quickly. She laughed softly at her cousin's words. "Well. He was at a bar when I was there, trying to distract myself." She opened her eyes, looking to her younger relative. "I'll have you know I wasn't drinking alcohol this time." Lacey wasn't by any means alcoholic. But when you grew up with a rich family...it was more of a way of showing that distinction in rank. A drink here or there didn't bother her. Getting drunk did. She'd been drunk maybe once, at a max, twice in her life. When things got bad. Usually, she was the more level-headed, there for a friend who stupidly went and got themselves drunk.
"And then I happened across him in the library. I was writing a paper." She made a disdainful face before continuing. "And he came back to my dorm." Her lips twitched in a smile. "He is a senior. And he is an elite. And, of course, handsome." She sighed when the topic turned to Heather. Currently, it was one of two or three disturbances in her life. "Yes. That bad," she stated with annoyance. "The girl wears tee shirts that completely hide her figure. Not to mention with grease spots on them." Lace grimaced, brown eyes disgusted. She just couldn't fathom it. For now, she was just trying to keep Heather a good distance from her. But if things did get closer to friendship, Heather would have a choice. Join Lacey and Chrys's circle, or never get near the top again.
"Oh yes. My secrets are always too good to go left untouched." Her smile became a wicked one, brown eyes both amused and delighted. "She hasn't picked up on the...boyfriend issues. Other than Erik spending more time with me, of course." She couldn't decide if she ought to be smug, since she hid it so well, or if she should be upset that word hadn't gotten to her boyfriend, letting him know it was as good as over. She followed her cousin's gaze to the students at the bottom of the stairs, almost sneering. "Don't waste the time there." She scoffed at the idea. No way would they make it. Even if they wanted it. After all, they were sitting on the stairs - the Elite hang-out. "I get it," Lacey replied. She'd never force an issue with one of her closest companions. She had Chrys's back, and she knew her cousin had hers. If there was ever a fall-out between the two - which there never had been - it could mean catastrophe for the school and the elite clique especially.

Chrys pursed her lips, there had to be a way people didn't get bored in relationships, before doing stuff the model thought was wrong. Nodding when he cousin said she wasn't drinking this time, Chrystina played with her cup, tapping her fingers idely on it and listening attetively to Lacey. She took a thoughtful sip before she turned her eyes on her popular cousin, lips pursed. She hated papers, not that she didn't do well cause she did, but she hated writing them. They were a pain. "Well of course he's handsome. I know you well." Chrys cracked a small smile at her cousin.
"T-shirts? Wow, she needs a lot of work." The sophomore sighed, flicking the side of her cup with a manicured finger nail. She hated getting roomed with pathetic people, it brought down her image and made her...well not at the top of the elites. "And grease? Like...car grease?" Chrys asked, utterly repulsed by the idea. She nodded at her cousin's comments. "Completely, you're the interest of the school. I must admit, I like knowing them too." She shrugged her slightly pointy shoulders, pursing her lips to one side and looking through the crowds. "I know. The river's dry this year, and full of wanna bees. It's pathetic." She groaned mentally, this would mean waiting for the following year to find the right freshmen to bring up the social ladder, not that it was even easy or worth it all the time. Some times you could climb up and fall back down without the right life and attitude to maintain the status. "Hmm. I don't know. We'll see how it goes. Perhaps..." She mused softly, her perfect lips pressing together in thoughtfullness. She wanted a boyfriend, that was a for sure, but no one here seemed right for her and worthy. It was a sad bunch compared to New York, especially during fashion week. Chrys scowled outwardly, lightly upset by the situation.

Lacey smiled softly to herself. In Paris she'd had the kind of boyfriend she needed. Popular, fashion-conscious, totally handsome, and there had never been a dull moment. Unfortunately, that was much harder to find here. She laughed softly at her cousin's statement. "Of course you do," she said. The cousins did know each other well. Chrys could probably come close to tell you as much about Lacey and Lacey herself could. Except for Lacey's years in Paris. She hadn't seen much of her cousin then. She'd been preoccupied with boys, fashion, and her family. "Indeed she does," Lace agreed with an exasperated sigh. She didn't mind much being roomed with Heather; her social standing was too secure to be in danger. She was likely to be top of the elites until she graduated.
"Yes, car grease," Lacey practically spat the words. Gross. She couldn't imagine even letting her clothes get close to grease. Ew, ew. She cringed mentally at the idea. And her hair! Double ugh. She smiled, scoffing slightly. "You know them before the school most of the time." She forgot trivial little things now and again, but was always reminded of them by Madame Sweet Tooth. Lace let her brown eyes scan the surrounding area slowly. Her gaze rested on any pretty or handsome face a second or two, then moved on. They freshman at the base of the stairs, were clearly hoping she'd pay attention to them. She was looking for more than looks too - there had to be something that set them apart, and it showed by the way their friends moved around them. If the friends got close, pushed them, and teased them, then they were just like any other student. If they seemed to receive extra awe, respect, or distance, then there might be something there.
"Pretty much," the junior agreed with her cousin, expression peeved. "Wanna-bees can be useful though." They were good for running errands. She smiled, sitting forward and pulling out her cell when if vibrated. "You'll find a guy someday, then I'll get to make fun of you for your previous pessimistic views on the issue," she teased. She slid the phone open. "Ugh. It's him again. So. Lead him on, or send a strong hint." She was musing to herself. Maybe it was time to finally just make it obvious. Then maybe Erik... she hit reply and started to text, smile sly, but hard. It wasn't a true smile. It was more one when she intended on starting on some new caper.
