secret(s): He’s had a past relationship with a Senior, but he’s left the school now.
personality: One thing about Colin is that he’s very smart. Having went to one of the best schools and universities, he’s the type to know little random facts about several topics, but the main topics he knows about is art, mythology and emotions. He may not have the power to tell exactly how people are feeling, but Colin can read people like a book most of the time. Some people are more difficult than others, obviously. He’s only human. He doesn’t throw around his knowledge as if it’s the best thing in the world, he’s not that egotistical. He can say some facts, and sometimes says them when he thinks is necessary. Some people can think this is him showing off, but people would know if Colin was showing off. Mainly using his intelligence in verbal fights, Colin is a very good strategist if need be.
Even if he’s smart, Colin is no where near a snob or very quiet. He is very laid back, though. He doesn’t worry if he wakes up late, gets hurt a little or has a teenager hurt because of him, he’ll be able to keep his cool. Colin is very hard to anger, unless it’s got something to do with his brothers. Colin doesn’t care if someone spreads rumours about him, he doesn’t care if anything of his breaks unless it’s his hands. He just thinks that getting angry is useless. It makes everyone irritated, it makes yourself feel awkward afterwards and you can do some pretty bad stuff when you’re angry. Quite a few people in the past have claimed Colin is heartless, but this is only because he doesn’t show much anger or sadness at moments of crisis. Although this all is still true, he is actually quite a sweet guy to his friends. He’s a bit of a romantic.
Colin appreciates good humour in every way. His own humour is usually sarcasm and quick wit, considering he’s terrible at the knock-knock jokes, but will never deny a joke if someone offers to tell him one. He’s a very happy person when it makes to humour all round. Colin doesn’t actually know what too-far means, and the line doesn’t exist for him. Colin isn’t very embarrassed about things like hugging other men. He enjoys hugging people if he knows them, and is often found having a hand on someone’s shoulder or something. Colin is quite the touchy feely person, which women find quite adorable. Sadly.
When teaching his students, Colin’s very open. He doesn’t mind what they do while they work, but if they don’t listen to her, then he will get a little more stern. He enjoys teasing her students even if they don’t deserve it. Colin really can’t help herself, he loves pointing out faults in people as well as himself, able to accept them usually. He laughs it off when someone complains to him about it, always using the excuse that ‘I never said you couldn’t insult me back’, which is entirely true. Colin does his best not to show if he’s insulted or not.
YOU MIND IF WE GET A LITTLE PHYSICAL, LOVE?

history: Growing up in Ireland wasn’t really tough for Colin. He had loving parents, who met in high school. They had an on-off, love/hate during their years in high school, but finally got together in the end. They had their first child when Lara was twenty-four. She quit all forms of work and school to look after David while Alexander had to find better work so they could move out of the little caravan they lived in on the country side. But, eventually he found work as an architect’s assistant. They moved into a small flat when David was one, and that’s where the family continued to live with Colin and Sam were born. He had great brothers, who always looked out for him and had fun with him.
Growing up in Dublin was good, yes, but there were cons. Colin felt different from the other boys at school. When he was ten, he didn’t want to fool around in the mud or play with trucks. He enjoyed trying on his mother’s heels and testing lipstick and foundation(obviously he had no idea what they were, but they were fun to put on). It was when his mother caught him doing it she became concerned. It wasn’t that she was against gay people, it was just she knew he would be ridiculed if anyone in his class found out. While Colin’s brothers were playing football and pulling girl’s pigtails, Colin was avoiding the mud and tying the girls’ hairs back afterwards. A lot of boys just thought he was weird at first, but when Colin entered high school, people were a lot more alert about sexuality and things like that.
They made fun of him a lot. Colin didn’t see what was so wrong about being gay, or at least acting like he did, so he continued. The insults hurt him, of course, but his mother taught him to just ignore them. They were jealous that he suited lipstick and they didn’t, but soon Colin knew they weren’t. Although he was going to a private school with his brothers, the people there weren’t snobs like he thought they’d be. They were crude and some even beat him. He’d sometimes go home with a bleeding nose or a black eye, which his parents were totally against. He didn’t come out of the closet until he was eighteen though, but he didn’t really need to. His father found him holding hands with other boys often, and his mother knew because he trusted her, and told her he guessed he was a homosexual when he was sixteen.
For university, the three brothers still stuck together. He took a course in teaching, as well as other little things. Unable to balance social life, school work and work-work, he became a bit of a hermit, just studying for exams and trying to find more work. When he passed and got his teaching license basically, he taught at a small school back in Ireland. For two years he stayed there, but decided he’d have to spread his wings. Finding He has been teaching there since he was thirty. For five years he stayed at Hershey, living in a little flat near the school.
But after a while, he met a Sophomore named Alec Raymond. Although creepy, Colin found the boy adorable. He waited until he was in Senior year to flirt with him, or at least find some sign the boy swung that way. He knows it was wrong, but he couldn’t help it. As soon as Alec held hands with a boy, and Colin confirmed he wasn’t joking around, he put him on detention for talking. They actually hit it off pretty well, and soon they started a secret relationship. But, after Alec left school, he broke the relationship between him and Colin. Although left heartbroken, he promised himself he wouldn’t start any more relationships with students. It’s just wrong.
A recent thing affected him, though. When he was thirty-four, his mother died of Leukaemia. He was heartbroken and took some time off work because of it, but he’s now recovered, but the subject of parents is a bit touchy and makes him emotional.
IS THAT ALL WE NEED TO KNOW?

impress me, baby: It was Tuesday. It was last period. It was the most boring life ever. Well, okay, perhaps it wasn’t too boring. Fencing was amazing at times, especially when Margarita was winning(even if it was against one of the more less talented classmates). She smiled, rubbing her eyes before stepping forward and slipping on her helmet. Looking round at the person she was up against, Rita pursed her lips, a bit nervous. This time she wasn’t going against someone bad, probably someone around the equivalent of the girl, if not better. Looking down at the ground, tapping her dull fencing sword against the side of her right leg, she looked up and got into position. She would put herself in the zone, she would make herself her own glossary of fencing positions and terms. The other started first, and they hopped forward.
balestra. she thought immediately, A hop or jump, followed typically by a lunge. She managed to block in time, the sound ringing in her ears and she was almost distracted. Sliding the blade along her opponent’s, she stepped forward and aimed a slash at his right side.
Riposte. Rita reminded herself, an attack made after a parry. No, she was thinking too much now.
Feeling a jab in her left side, Rita looked up and stumbled backwards, putting a hand to her side. Of course it wasn’t bleeding seeing as there was a protective cover on the ends of the swords, but that wasn’t the point. Being jabbed was still sore, but before she could hop forward to attack or do anything for that matter, the bell went. This class was over, and Margarita had lost. Great. Rolling her eyes, the eighteen year old removed the helmet and put it, along with the sword, in the right place. Pfft, that was such a bad match.
Rita walked along the corridor, wearing the usual school uniform, but instead of a skirt, she was wearing slacks. They weren't the comfiest things in the world, but they were better than skirts. Smiling to herself, she looked down at the old mary janes. At least she'd be ready if someone asked her to race. Margarita doubted it though, it was the end of the day and hardly anyone actually asked her for a race. It sounded a bit weird and, dare she say it, cliché. She didn’t actually know of anyone that asked someone else to race unless they were good friends, not just some random stranger. Quickening her pace to dump her books in her dorm and just wander about the school, perhaps go out and find some friends, Rita bumped into someone. She didn’t really know if it was her fault or theirs, so she decided to make it sound like it was theirs. Sure, it was an immature thing to do and Rita knew that, but what harm could it do? This was just a school, and she was still a teenager. Teenagers were moody and emotional, and sometimes Margarita felt that she’d get more friends if she acted like one of them.
But it was just so annoying being immature.
“Hey, watch it.” she said slightly snappy, frowning. Spinning round to walk on, Rita wondered if that was even a good thing to do. Shrugging, the girl continued to her dorm and dumped her books on her bed before exiting again. What would she do? Stuffing her hands on her pockets, Rita glanced outside, noticing storm clouds rolling in. Perhaps she wouldn’t go outside for a bit then…Biting her lower lip, Rita walked through the halls, making sure not to bump into anyone else. She didn’t want conflict, considering she wasn’t the best when it came to fist fights. Some kids could be very moody here. Margarita finally decided to situate herself in the student’s lounge, maybe go onto the computer and end an email to one of her siblings. She counted them as siblings, not adopted siblings. That sounded silly and was just pointless.
Sitting down on one of the sofas, slouching slightly, Rita listened to the people around her. They were all chatting rather loudly, and the tv was blaring some nonsense at her about not smoking. Of course she shouldn’t smoke, it was bad for your body and made you smell bad. Hearing some people yelling, Rita glanced over the sofa and rolled her eyes.
“What a bunch of over grown kids…” she muttered, turning back round to change the channel on the tv. Rita then decided tv may be better company than people.
Damn right.
